CHOICE Cafe

We are open every morning from 8:30am for children and parents/caregivers to purchase hot drinks and milkshakes.

Students can purchase drinks before 8:55am, and the coffee machine is on until 10.00 am for those of you who want to catch up with friends for a coffee – the CHOICES Room is available with cafe tables and couches, so feel free to make yourself comfy!

We “hire” in-house Year 6 students to help run the Cafe in the morning which is an excellent way to gain some necessary life skills going forward.

Waitakiri School is an Enviro-School so we encourage everyone to either enjoy their drinks in the cafe or bring their own takeaway cups (we sell these for $13, including your first drink free). If you do need to use a paper cup, there is a charge of 50c, and we would love it if you would return it next time you’re here so that our Enviro Ferns can reuse them to plant seedlings in our orchard.
