Hall Hire

The Waitākiri School hall is available for hire, from 6pm weekdays and all day Saturday and Sunday.

Hall Hire Rates:

  1. Community meetings – by donation, approx $50
  2. Community organisations for children’s programmes, eg Guides, Kindergartens, etc $30 per hour
  3. Community organisations for adult programmes, eg Marching Group, Badminton, $35 per hour
  4. Half day hire, 8am – 12noon, or 1pm – 5pm, $130
  5. Full day hire, 8am – 5pm, $200
  6. Full day plus evening hire, 8am – 10pm, $300
  7. Regular hire – by negotiation

The above charges do not include GST of 15% to be added

A refundable bond is required for any new hall hires.

There is parking for approx 24 car parks, including two mobility parks, directly outside the hall. There is additional parking on the school grounds for another 14 cars approx 50 metres away. There is also lots of street parking. 

The size of the hall is 20.5m x 16.3m, totalling 334 sq/m.
There are tressle tables and approx 150 chairs in the hall to use.

There is a defibrillator on site located in the school hall. This is for our school and community use when the hall is hired by the public. 

Please note our school is smoke and vape free which includes the hall and any areas within the school grounds.

The hall will NOT be hired out for parties or evening events that could be a disturbance to our neighbours. Any events that run past 8pm must be approved by the Principal.

A cleaning charge of $100 + GST will be added to any group who do not leave the hall in a clean condition.  All cleaning items are provided.

A security call out fee $80 +GST for any callouts made during your hall hire. This includes if an alarm is activated and the security company is not advised, the alarm is not reset or if any doors or windows are left open or unlocked.
